Preparing for Your Test

  • Buy 2 fleet enemas (4.5 fl oz each). You can buy them over-the-counter.
  • Plan to be at the facility for about 30 minutes.
  • You can eat and drink normally before the test.
  • Family members or guests cannot be in the room with you during this appointment. They may wait in the waiting area.
  • A chaperone is required for this test. There will be an additional staff member present during the appointment.
Tip

Add reminders or alarms on your cell phone to help remember each step throughout your preparation.

Day of Your Test

  • 2 hours before test time – Complete 2 fleet enemas following the package instructions.
  • A few minutes before your test time -Arrive at the front desk on the 2nd floor. Bring your insurance card and a photo ID.

After Your Test

  • Your doctor will give you your results in 14 days. Your bill will show the day you had your test, not the day your doctor reads the results.
