Esophageal Manometry Preparation

This test involves measuring the pressure and muscle action of the upper GI tract. A small, flexible tube is inserted into your nose and down into your stomach. This is done without sedation, and is done very gently. The catheter is connected to a very complex machine. This test helps your doctor diagnose your illness and plan of treatment.
