Preparing for Your FibroScan
- Plan to be at the facility for about 20 minutes.
Family members or guests cannot be in the room with you during this appointment. They may wait in the waiting area.
48 Hours Before Your FibroScan
- DO NOT drink alcohol. If you do, your procedure will be delayed or cancelled.
Day of Your FibroScan
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes like sweatpants and a t-shirt. Do not wear a dress.
- 3 hours before your scan time – STOP eating or drinking anything except small amounts of water.
A few minutes before your scan time – Arrive at the front desk on the 2nd floor. Bring your insurance card and a photo ID.
